With efforts to stop climate change falling short, decision makers are now focusing on adapting to its inevitable impacts. The effects of climate change will affect global economies and societies. The key question is how well humans will prepare for and reduce the negative effects or wait until it's too late to adapt. A workshop highlighted the urgent need for better scientific information on climate change adaptation due to the gap between demand and supply.
