In 2006, HDR Engineering was asked to replace two old bridges in Ponte Vedra, Florida. The new bridges had to look nice for the wealthy residents nearby. They held meetings with the community to get ideas for how the bridges should look. Building the bridges in a residential area caused many problems that don't happen on other projects. The bridges needed to fit in with the neighborhood to look good.
