A company called Arabian Bechtel Corp. completed projects to help Occidental Oil Co. produce more oil in Libya. They installed new pipelines under the sea to transport oil to tankers. The pipelines were made of strong material and buried under the ocean floor. Occidental also built a plant to extract natural gasoline and LPG from gas found with the oil. The projects cost $60 million in total.
