Sulphur fertilizer boosts tomato yield but affects fruit quality negatively.
Sulphur fertilizer helps tomatoes grow better and resist diseases. When tomatoes were given sulphur fertilizer, they had more S, Vc, potassium, and acid in them. But they had less sugar, solid, protein, N, and P. The tomatoes also stored better when given 30 kg/hm2 of sulphur fertilizer.
