Automatic document summarization is important due to information overload. Researchers analyzed different methods for summarization, using existing algorithms and a new itemset approach. The resulting summarizer was tested by comparing original documents with automatically generated abstracts. The evaluation showed promising results, but the readability of abstracts still needs improvement through additional heuristic methods.
