Data envelopment analysis is a method used to evaluate how efficient decision-making units like public transport companies are. However, the original method doesn't rank firms by efficiency. To address this, new methods have been developed to improve the ranking ability of DEA. This article reviews these methods, focusing on those developed in the last decade.
