The study analyzed the impact of a forestation project in Heilongjiang Province on employment. By investing in planting trees for carbon sequestration, the project aimed to combat climate change and boost the local economy. Using data from China's statistical yearbook and successful carbon sequestration projects, researchers calculated the direct and indirect job opportunities created by the project. The results showed that the forestation project generated significant employment opportunities, helping to address unemployment in the forestry region.
