Behavioral Economics Upends Rational Choice Theory, Reshaping Economic Policies
The article discusses how behavioral economics combines elements of psychology and traditional economics. It challenges some ideas of standard economics but still follows its basic principles. Behavioral economics is not as revolutionary as it may seem, as it still relies on the same fundamental concepts of rationality as traditional economics. This study explores the relationship between Austrian economics, behavioral economics, and traditional neoclassical economics.
