Asia's Telecom Market Opens Up to Foreign Investors Amid Economic Crisis
The telecommunications market in Asia is growing rapidly, attracting foreign investors and prompting governments to open up their markets to increase foreign investment. The Asian economic crisis in the late 1990s caused a pause in infrastructure projects, but also led to some countries reforming their laws to allow more foreign ownership in local telecommunications companies.
