Researchers studied how adding lime to soft clay soil affects its properties. They mixed lime with soil from Brazil and tested things like strength, pH, and grain size. They found that adding more than 11% lime and curing for 90 days or more makes the soil stronger and stiffer. This happens because of chemical reactions in the soil. Once these reactions occur, how the soil is drained doesn't affect its behavior.
