The article examines how Romania's agriculture has been affected by joining the EU. By analyzing trade data, the researchers found that Romania's specialization in certain agricultural products decreased after accession. This led to a loss in trade diversification, particularly in products like live animals, animal products, oilseeds, milk, and dairy products. Despite still having a positive trade balance, these products experienced significant declines in net export amounts.
