The current global monetary system has three main problems: uneven adjustments, reliance on one country's policies, and high demand for financial security from developing nations. To fix this, two options are suggested: a multi-currency system or focusing on special drawing rights (SDRs). Combining both approaches could be the best solution. In this mixed system, SDRs would fund IMF loans, while national currencies would still be used for international transactions.
