New plant discoveries in Upper Teesdale could revolutionize conservation efforts!
The researchers studied the vegetation on Widdybank Fell in Upper Teesdale using a method called Zurich-Montpellier phytsociology. They found 36 different vegetation units, including rock crevice vegetation, sub-alpine pastures, and damp heath. The vegetation was classified into 11 alliances and 8 classes, such as rough grasslands and heaths.
