A data warehouse stores historical information from different sources worldwide to help with decision making. Analytical queries on this data can be slow, so creating views can speed up responses. However, not all views can be created due to space limits. A Genetic Algorithm was used to select the best views to materialize, reducing the cost compared to a greedy algorithm.
