Revolutionizing Public Procurement: Electronic Bidding Systems Set to Transform Construction Industry
The article discusses how traditional bidding processes in public construction can be unclear and unfair, leading to high costs for suppliers. To address these issues, some public institutions have developed electronic bidding systems. However, these systems still have various problems. The study aims to analyze current bidding systems, compare them with electronic systems, and suggest improvements. Key processes and contract types for public construction bidding were identified, providing guidelines for future electronic bidding systems. Recommendations include creating a unified organization, developing a database for information sharing, and standardizing national-level systems.
