The population in the United States is getting older due to lower birth rates and longer life expectancy. This will impact the workforce, with people retiring later and companies changing their policies to accommodate older employees. The government may also need to adjust retirement age policies. A recent book discusses these issues and was edited by a labor economics professor at Cornell University.
