The construction industry can boost productivity by adopting logistical principles from the manufacturing industry. By analyzing previous reports and conducting case studies on supply chains, it was found that supply chain management is not widely implemented in construction. However, there are signs of improvement in some areas, such as clients and contractors showing interest in supply chain performance. Suggestions for enhancing supply chains include establishing detailed delivery dates early in projects to avoid delays and sub-optimal outcomes.
