Event-Driven Business Process Management combines two disciplines, Business Process Management and Complex Event Processing, to help companies model, manage, and optimize their unique business processes. The software platform used allows for significant gains in efficiency. Complex Event Processing analyzes and processes events in parallel. The two platforms work together through events produced by the BPM workflow engine and associated IT services. The framework presented in the article shows how EDBPM can be applied in logistics and financial services to improve operations.
