New method predicts doctor visits in Italy with greater accuracy.
A new method was developed to estimate the average number of visits to doctors in Central Italy. This method, called Poisson M-quantile regression, is more robust and efficient than traditional approaches. By using this new method, researchers were able to accurately predict healthcare visits in different areas, even when dealing with outliers or unusual data points. This means that healthcare resources can be better allocated based on more accurate estimates of patient needs.
