The agricultural structure in Yunnan Province is mainly traditional, with most farmers using small-scale farming methods. Only a few farmers are part of new cooperative organizations. Farmers lack education and training, have low incomes, and face joblessness. The agricultural service system is basic, leading to low production efficiency. To improve agricultural development, authorities should support farmers, enhance agricultural services, boost the quality of the workforce, encourage farmers to join cooperatives, provide more rural finance, and help surplus labor transition to other industries.
