The study tested a flood simulation model called HEC-1 on a large watershed. Data from the Han river basin floods in 1984 and 1990 were used to calibrate the model. The simulated flood hydrograph matched well with the observed data, showing that HEC-1 can effectively simulate large watersheds. Additionally, the model was used to estimate flood hydrographs for 100 and 200-year frequency events.
