New Research Reveals Fashion Industry Focused on Women, Neglecting Men
The article analyzes trends in clothing construction research in Korea from 1996 to 2005. The researchers looked at 689 papers from various journals and found that the most studied topics were body types, patterns, and apparel sizes. Most research focused on women, with less attention given to men's clothing. The study suggests a need for more research on men's clothing and on body types and sizes in target export markets. To improve research precision, the development and use of tools like CAD and 3D shape systems are recommended.
