Students Reject Innovative Exam Formats, Demand Familiar Approach Despite Learning Benefits
The study introduced new multiple-choice test formats to assess students in a Publicity and Public Relations course. The goal was to improve students' understanding of concepts and theories. Students' opinions on the new formats differed from their previous test scores. Most students preferred a mix of traditional and new formats for future tests. Despite recognizing the need for deeper learning, they still wanted some questions in the traditional format. This shows the importance of considering students' feedback in assessment processes.
