Revolutionizing Agriculture: Bark and Piggery Manure Compost Boosts Crop Yields!
The researchers studied how bark and piggery manure byproduct composts change during composting. They found that the mature composts were black and dark brown, with a good earthy odor. The pH and EC levels stabilized at certain values, and organic matter decreased over time. Total nitrogen levels stayed constant or increased initially but decreased later on. C/N ratios and CEC levels also stabilized. Lignin content increased while cellulose and hemicellulose decreased during composting.
