Revolutionary seeding methods boost rice yield, transforming farming practices worldwide!
Researchers studied how different methods of seeding, dates, and rates affect rice yield when using a transplanter. They found that sowing sprouted seeds with intermittent irrigation led to higher seedling establishment. The best seeding dates were April 30 or May 10, with minimum temperatures needed for good establishment. The optimal seeding rate was 200g per box, resulting in a grain yield of 481kg per 10 acres, similar to hand transplanting.
