A carpool carpark with access control technology at an Australian university campus is successfully increasing vehicle occupancies. The dedicated carpool parking areas are popular due to convenient locations and increased capacity. Evaluation results show that this scheme has positively impacted vehicle occupancy levels, with strong support from both the university and users.
