Transport policy stagnation in Netherlands may lead to delayed solutions and opposition.
Stagnation in transport policy implementation is analyzed using a method called Policy Theme Analysis (PTA). The study shows how different levels of action in policy creation and execution can prevent delays. Currently, transport policies in the Netherlands are focused on programming projects and implementing policy instruments like parking restrictions and road pricing. However, there is a need for more studies on the effects of these projects on different interest groups to avoid opposition and delays in implementation.
