A study tested wells in central India to understand water losses in rock aquifers. They used step-drawdown tests to measure well and aquifer losses. Results showed that specific capacity decreases with high well losses, and aquifer loss decreases with higher transmissivity. The study found anomalies in test analysis helped identify aquifer irregularities. Overall, step-drawdown tests are useful for quantifying well losses in rock wells and have practical applications in groundwater development.
