New Study Reveals Coastal and Inland Habitats Division Based on Vegetation Structure and Soil Analysis
The researchers studied the vegetation and soil in Kimpo Landfills and nearby areas to divide the habitats based on their functions. They identified 41 plant communities, including forests, mantle, and herb communities. The number of plant communities was linked to the number of species present. The highest vegetation diversity and heterogeneity were found in coastal and inland regions. Soil salt content was crucial in determining plant composition. The study showed that different soil types influenced the types of plants that grew in the area.
