Acid rain impacts heavy metal mobility in saline soils, raising contamination risks
The study looked at how different types of acid rain affect the movement of heavy metals in reclaimed salty soils. They tested soils from Korea and Japan and found that the composition of the acid rain affected how much of the metals were able to move around. In some soils, the metals were more likely to stay put, while in others they were more likely to move around. This information can help us understand how to manage heavy metal contamination in salty soils better.
