A new Road Safety Action Plan for Tasmania was developed using a two-stage evaluation process. The goal was to find ways to reduce serious casualties on the roads. Experts from DIER and MUARC looked at different ideas and used a special model to pick the best ones. They found key areas that, if included in the plan, could greatly lower the number of serious injuries on Tasmania's roads. This method can help make future road safety plans more effective and show how many lives could be saved by implementing certain initiatives.
