New Herbicides Boost Brinjal Yield and Weed Control Efficiency!
A study was done to find the best ways to control weeds and increase brinjal yield. They tested different herbicides and found that metolachlor at 1.5 kg/ha and oxyfluorfen at 0.15 kg/ha were the most effective in reducing weed growth. Using higher levels of herbicides led to lower weed growth compared to lower levels. Brinjal yield was highest when treated with butachlor, pendimethalin, metolachlor, alachior, or oxyfluorfen at specific doses along with hand weeding. These treatments resulted in yields similar to plots without weeds and higher than plots treated with higher herbicide levels.
