Sugarcane production in Union Council Malakandher, Pakistan has decreased due to factors like small landholdings, lack of education, and poor financial resources among farmers. Traditional farming methods are still common, and extension services have not been effective in helping farmers adopt new technologies. The area under sugarcane cultivation has decreased, and yields have dropped by 31% in the last five years. The main reasons for low production include financial difficulties, lack of knowledge about modern farming techniques, and high prices of fertilizers and seeds. To improve sugarcane production, small farmers need support in the form of soft loans and technical assistance.
