Chehalis River Basin Study Reveals Alternating Gains and Losses in Streamflow
A study in the Chehalis River basin measured streamflow at different points to see if water was being gained or lost. They found that some parts of the river gained water, while others lost water. In the area called Grand Mound Prairie, the river alternated between gaining and losing water. Tributaries mostly added water to the river in the upper areas, but lost water as they reached the flat valley.
