The study looked at how to increase the yield of a type of rapeseed called Heza 7 by testing different fertilizer rates and planting densities in Shanghai. They found that to get a high yield, the right amount of nitrogen fertilizer should be between 225 and 315 kg per hectare. When using 225 kg of nitrogen fertilizer, 25-40% should be applied the following year. The best planting density for Heza 7 is between 60,000 and 105,000 plants per hectare.
