New research reveals optimal time for bamboo photosynthesis, boosting plant growth.
The study looked at how a type of bamboo plant called Phyllostachys edulis cv. pachyloen changes its photosynthesis throughout the day in spring. They found that the plant's photosynthesis and transpiration rates peak at specific times, with the main factor being the amount of sunlight the plant receives. Other factors like humidity, CO2 levels, and temperature indirectly affect the plant's photosynthesis and transpiration by influencing the amount of sunlight available.
