Rocky Mountain Region Booms as Amenities Drive Migration Trends
This chapter looks at how nice things in different parts of the USA affect where people choose to live. They used a special index and two studies from the 1990s to see how amenities like parks or good weather impact where people move. They found that amenities play a big role in why people move to rural areas, especially in the Rocky Mountains. Different regions have different reasons for attracting people, like New England and the Rocky Mountains. Also, the specific qualities of an area, like beautiful landscapes or friendly communities, are important for why people choose to live there in the Rocky Mountains.
