A study looked at 124 Australian funds from 1980 to 1995 and found that past performance strongly influences how much money investors put into these funds. The study used different ways to measure performance and found that investors react similarly to all of them. This means that recent performance, whether good or bad, can significantly impact how much money a fund attracts.
