The researchers assessed the water quality of the Omulew and Rozoga rivers using a method called Macrophytes Method of Assessing Rivers (Mmore). They studied the aquatic plants in the rivers to determine the level of pollution and degradation. The Omulew river was found to have good water quality and ecological status, while the Rozoga river had medium water quality and ecological status. The presence of certain plant species indicated different levels of pollution in the rivers.
