Optimizing fertilizer doses boosts rice and wheat yield for higher profits.
A study on rice and wheat farming found that applying the right amount of nitrogen fertilizer is crucial for high yields and profits. By testing different levels of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, researchers discovered that both rice and wheat respond well to nitrogen, but too much can actually decrease profits. They determined that the optimal nitrogen doses for rice are 125 kg/ha without manure and 100 kg/ha with manure, and for wheat, it is 125 kg/ha with or without manure. Adding farmyard manure can boost production and save on nitrogen use in rice. This research helps farmers make informed decisions on fertilizer use to maximize crop yields and profits.
