The study compared the effectiveness of lime and cement in stabilizing clay soils. Lime treatment was found to be better for high-plasticity soils, providing higher strengths in both dry and wet conditions. It also showed better resistance to moisture damage. Cement treatment, on the other hand, was more effective for low-plasticity sandy clay, resulting in significantly higher compressive strengths.
