The article examines whether using moving averages to predict stock prices can lead to higher returns than simply holding onto stocks. The study focused on 56 Irish stocks traded between 2001 and 2011. The results suggest that using moving averages for trading can potentially yield higher returns and lower losses compared to a buy-and-hold strategy in the Irish stock market.
