Agricultural by-products revolutionize weed control in machine transplanting rice fields!
The experiment looked at how using agricultural by-products like rice bran, barley, and rice straw affected the growth of rice and weeds in machine-transplanted rice fields. They found that applying rice bran before and after transplanting rice hindered rice growth and reduced oxygen levels in the water for up to 21 days. Weed growth was most effectively controlled by using a combination of rice bran and barley straw. The weed-inhibiting effects of these by-products lasted for about 30 days after application.
