Dominant plant species shift in Jeju Island's improved pastures over time.
The study looked at how the vegetation on a pasture in Jeju Island changed over seven years. They planted a mix of different seeds and found that certain plants dominated at different times. In the first three years, Dactylis glomerata and Trifolium repens were the main species. By the fourth year, Imperata cylindrica and Trifolium repens took over. From the fifth to eighth year, Imperata cylindrica and Zoysia japonica were the dominant plants.
