New wastewater treatment methods promise cleaner water and reduced pollution levels.
The researchers tested different methods to improve the efficiency of removing pollutants from wastewater. They used activated carbon to absorb impurities, achieving a high removal rate of 98%. However, using iron chloride for coagulation and flocculation was less effective for removing organic matter. The results suggest that these methods could enhance the primary treatment of wastewater, reducing the need for further processing or even allowing for water reuse after treatment.
