The article describes a new system called Creep-FatiguePro that monitors damage and crack growth in steam piping at a power plant. By analyzing plant operating data, this system helps track the structural integrity of critical components. A prototype of this system was successfully tested at the Contra Costa Power Plant, showing that it can effectively monitor and assess plant maintenance needs. This new monitoring system could save money and improve the overall efficiency of power plant operations.
