Scientists developed a simulation to test the fuel efficiency and emissions of a diesel hybrid electric vehicle. This type of vehicle uses both a diesel engine and an electric device to reduce fuel consumption and pollution. The tests were done on different driving cycles to see how well the vehicle performed. The results showed that the hybrid vehicle was effective in saving fuel and reducing emissions compared to traditional diesel vehicles.
