The study looked at how ventilation affects the cooling and heating loads in a test space with a forced ventilating system. They ran air-conditioning and ventilation for 4 days, measuring temperatures and energy use to calculate the actual thermal loads. Using a simulation program, they compared the heating and cooling loads from the experiment with those from the simulation. The results showed that the thermal loads related to ventilation matched closely between the experiment and the simulation.
