The article presents a new way to improve the design process by combining two methods, Axiomatic Design and TRIZ. Axiomatic Design helps to organize and define problems systematically, while TRIZ provides innovative solutions by separating related design parameters. The researchers applied this integrated model to improve heating and drying equipment for bitumen reproduction, and found that it worked well for conceptual design.
