Maximizing ventilation cuts cooling costs and boosts indoor air quality!
The study looked at how increasing the amount of fresh air brought into an office building in Tokyo could reduce the need for cooling energy and improve indoor air quality. They used a computer simulation to compare different ventilation rates and found that using all fresh air for cooling could be just as efficient as using a minimum amount of fresh air. This means that increasing ventilation rates could be a simple way to save energy and make indoor air healthier.
